Available sizes for the Caisse de Versailles steel planter
We offer these classic Caisse de Versailles steel planters in several sizes. Length and width are indicated with the enclosing hinge: 54ⅹ54 cm; 66ⅹ66 cm; 88ⅹ88 cm; 104ⅹ104 cm; 130ⅹ130 cm and 150ⅹ150 cm.
Processing Caisse de Versailles plant pot made of steel
Main carrier of planter Caisse de Versailles CV-48 and CV-60 are made of 60ⅹ60ⅹ3 mm steel profile tubes, side walls are made of 60ⅹ30ⅹ1,5 mm U-shaped steel strips, hinge connectors are made of 30ⅹ10 mm steel strips, upper cover strips are made of 60ⅹ5 mm steel strips. The diameter of the hinges is 30 mm. The four decorative finishes made of solid aluminum are 120 mm high with a diameter of 69 mm.
Main carrier of planter Caisse de Versailles CV-80 and CV-96 are made of 80ⅹ80ⅹ3 mm steel profile tubes, side walls are made of 80ⅹ40ⅹ1,5 mm U-shaped steel strips, hinge connectors are made of 40ⅹ15 mm steel strips, upper cover strips are made of 80ⅹ5 mm steel strips. The diameter of the hinges is 40 mm. The four decorative finishes made of solid aluminum are 165 mm high with a diameter of 94 mm.
Main carrier of planter Caisse de Versailles CV-120 and CV-140 are made of 100ⅹ100ⅹ3 mm steel profile tubes, side walls are made of 100ⅹ50ⅹ1,5 mm U-shaped steel strips, hinge connectors are made of 50ⅹ15 mm steel strips, upper cover strips are made of 100ⅹ5 mm steel strips. The diameter of the hinges is 50 mm. The four decorative finishes made of solid aluminum are 208 mm high with a diameter of 119 mm.
The classic four finials of these planters correspond in design to the historical Versailles originals. However, they are not made of the wood of the Versailles models, but of solid aluminum turned by hand. The planter itself is made of steel, hot-dip galvanized and powder-coated in black. Each Caisse de Versailles planter is supplied with a stainless steel plant insert. This plant insert (planter-in-a-planter system) is uncoated and has a matt silver color. Of course, we can also powder-coat this inner planter in a color of your choice on request. All four side parts of the Caisse de Versailles planter are removable. To do this, open one or more of the four hinges. The plant insert can therefore be removed both upwards and sideways, depending on the weight and requirements.

Caisse de Versailles steel planter
The park and gardens of the Palace of Versailles, designed by André Le Nôtre for King Louis XIV, have set standards in garden culture worldwide since the 17th century. A few unique garden objects from the time when the Versailles myth was created are still traditionally made of oak in France today, such as the orange tree boxes. Classic Garden Elements goes a step further with steel. Both aesthetic and durable and designed for the care of the plants, these beautiful, authentic and timeless replicas of the originals - Caisses de Versailles. Impressively planted, they ennoble a private house entrance just as much as an elegant shop, first-class hotel or noble restaurant. Unlike the famous French originals made of wood, the Caisse de Versailles planter is made of heavy iron and solid strip steel. The Caisse de Versailles planter also has an additional, removable plant insert made of stainless steel. This combination allows air to circulate between the outer and inner pots. This protects the soil from extreme temperatures and prevents it from drying out. The pot-in-pot system also allows for effortless transport of even large plants to their winter quarters, while the plant pot itself can overwinter outdoors.
