Special dimensions and costs – a frank word
Unfortunately, special sizes are relatively expensive for prices in the range of up to 2.000 euros. For prices above this, the costs of a custom-made product in relation to the total price then fall significantly less This is because every custom-sized item is first drawn and designed by the engineer before production. Based on the technical sketch, the parts are then cut to the special size. This takes a lot of extra time, both in production and in creating a technical drawing. We cannot use our existing cutting tools here: The time required for cutting is therefore many times longer than for standard items.
The parts are then welded. For this purpose, we have templates for the standard items with which the welding points are already defined. This is not the case with special sizes: The time required for welding is therefore many times longer than for standard items. And you must remember that a special size is 100 percent made by hand. After welding, the special size is checked again by the engineer, unlike with standard items. The special size is then packaged after hot-dip galvanizing, cleaning, polishing and powder coating. The boxes for the standard items cannot be used here; extra boxes have to be cut. In return, you receive an item tailored to your wishes and ideas.
